Setup your first Loyalty Program

This quick guide will help you set up your first loyalty program under 10 minutes — from enabling your widget to setting up how customers earn and redeem their points. Follow the steps below to get started:

Step 1: Enable the App Embed

To display the loyalty widget on your storefront, you’ll first need to enable the app embed in your theme.

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin.

  2. Navigate to Online Store → Themes.

  3. Click Customize next to your live theme.

  4. In the left sidebar, select App Embeds (⚙️ icon).

  5. Toggle Line Loyalty Widget to “On”.

  6. Click Save in the top right corner.

✅ Your loyalty widget is now active on your store!

Step 2: Customize Your Widget Branding

Make your loyalty widget match your brand style.

  1. Open the Line Loyalty app in your Shopify admin.

  2. Go to the Customize Storefront > General Styles.

  3. Click "customize", here you can style how the loyalty widget will be displayed in the cart.

  4. Click Save to apply changes.

💡 We recommend using your brand’s primary color to keep the widget consistent with your storefront design.

Step 3: Set Up Earn Points Rules

Encourage customer engagement by defining how they can earn points. Line Loyalty offers 10+ ways for customers to earn points.

  • Under Line Loyalty app, go to the Loyalty Program tab.

  • Click "Add way to earn" button under ways to earn points. Choose an earning action (e.g.):

    • Create an account

    • Place an order

    • Follow on social media (e.g Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok )

    • Leave a review (We offer points on only giving review using Judgme review app. Read how to setup this rule)

  • Set the points value for each action.

Save your rules.

Step 4: Set Up Redeem Points Rules

Let your customers use their points to redeem exciting rewards.

  1. Under Loyalty Program tab, you'll find Redeem Points rules next to the Ways to earn rules.

  2. We currently offer 4 ways to redeem points.

  3. Click Add ways to redeem, select a reward type, such as:

    • Amount Discounts: $5 off, $20 off, etc.

    • Percentage Discounts. 5% off, 10% off, etc

    • Free shipping: Offer free shipping on reaching certain points

    • Free product: Offer Free product on reaching certain points.

  4. Set the points required to redeem each reward.

  5. Save your reward settings.

💰 Make sure your redemption values provide real value to encourage repeat purchases.

Step 5: Show Widget in Your Cart

Increase engagement by showing your loyalty widget in the cart drawer or cart page so customers can easily access and redeem their points directly in the cart.

  1. Go to Customize Storefront >"Cart: Earn and redeem points" widget.

  2. Find and copy the class in your cart drawer or cart page above which you want to display the Loyalty widget. (We recommend showing it above the checkout button block so customers don't miss their points.)

    Right click on the element and use inspect tool to find the class name. In this example, our desired class name is ".cart__summary-totals". Your theme may have a different class name.

  3. Replace your copied class with the existing class in the App embed placement field. (Don't forget to add "." with your class name)

    Hit save and try checking the widget on the cart page.

🛒 Now your customers can see their points and redeem rewards right from the cart — improving conversion and loyalty!
